Parents, Did You Know?

Pasco School Psychologist is violating parental rights!

Jackie has been a self proclaimed "Equality Ally" and has advocated for the LGBTQ community for most of her career. In 2010, she was selected to attend the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) Safe Schools Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C. While in D.C., Jackie had the opportunity to expand her knowledge of the Safe Schools Improvement Act legislation and lobbied on Capitol Hill for its sponsorship and passage. In 2015 Jackie was hired as the school psychologist for Pasco County schools.

With a quick look at Jackie's social media platforms you will see that she is agenda driven with a deep-seated belief that kids should be affirmed at school in their gender and sexuality and advocates parental involvement ONLY if the parent agrees with her beliefs. Take a look at her presence on the web

Get to know Jackie—Read her email correspondence with district staff:

JJD: “A common question is whether or not to call home. We have a number of parents who would not be accepting of gender fluidity or of a sexual orientation . . . so I would be careful not to discuss this with the child's parents unless the child gives you permission to do so. If the child is safe, then you are able to keep this in confidence, per ethical guidelines and FERPA/HIPAA.”

This above statement IS NOT TRUE. FERPA/HIPAA do not apply against a minor child’s own parents; this is a complete lie that she is telling district staff. Read the actual email chain HERE

In this email chain JJD discusses bathrooms with another teacher. Here, we see the mindset that a school will NOT allow a parent to guide his own child; with teachers using false gender pronouns and an assumed name, over a fit parent’s objections. JJD: “Just yesterday at my school a parent got very upset with a teacher who is respecting his child’s preferred name and pronouns. He threatened to call the district because she’s doing the right thing, but he doesn’t agree.”

This is outrageous, and a clear violation of parental rights. Read the actual email HERE

Jackie On A Mission . . .

Jackie has put together an LGBTQ Lending Library consisting of over 60 books, as well as several magazines, brochures, and pamphlets. Resources can be "checked out" by students, parents, or educators with an overall goal of enhancing and empowering the lives of LGBTQ youth. Jackie currently serves as the LGBTQ Liaison within the Pasco County School District where she also provides school psychological services. In her role, she provides resources and professional development to educators, connects GSA advisors to one another, and, in 2017, she served as the primary author of the school district's "Best Practices Guide" to assist school employees in being sensitive to the unique needs of the LGBTQ community. Yet, this guide does not take into regard the the needs and feelings of all the other children under her care. Additionally, Jackie facilitates communication between local and state-wide programs/agencies/organizations and her school district - like the event below .
